Every September, apart from the Mid-Autumn Festival,
the most important day is Teachers’ Day.
For this issue of the HOLO+FACE magazine,
racking our brains in collaboration with AI,
we went from a wide creative spread to focusing a dozen candidate headlines,
and finally — treating photographic light as a painter’s brush, and the exchange of feeling as our teacher —
settled on the theme: “Light as the pen, the heart as the teacher.”
For me, having taught for more than a decade,
I deeply feel how the five bonds — heaven, earth, ruler, kin, teacher — matter to how human society develops.
Besides laying out, in the editor’s preface, why education is necessary for a company’s growth,
we also invited operations-optimization manager Jett, rich in teaching experience, to write for HOLO+TOPIC.
HOLO+FACE, having just won an Outstanding Customer Service award at the 18th Golden Torch Awards,
had CEO Vincent accept the honour in person —
an honour that fits the core idea of “the heart as the teacher” perfectly.
For the photography showcase column,
operations supervisor Riku was invited to give each excellent piece
a soul and meaning in words;
and design department head Kala, on receiving this issue’s copy and key-visual brief,
quickly produced a cover that was rich in design layering and right on theme.
HOLO+Monthly, the company magazine,
is the HR team’s brilliant work each month of integrating cross-department efforts into a chemical reaction.
Beyond the welcome introductions for every new colleague, the column features, the month’s birthday stars and the various honours,
the HOLO+Together column has gone out to interview outstanding craftspeople inside the company,
producing career journeys tens of thousands of words long.
Listening is the first condition of communication and leadership,
and for the HOLO+HR team,
we entrusted it with an important medium for the flow of feeling inside the company.
